What is Lifestyle Design?

chuckllc:

Have you ever learned something, and then all of a sudden you can’t seem to get it out of your head; it seems like this new thing is all over the place?  For example, you learn that a BMW M3 is actually more fuel efficient than a Toyota Prius (at the Prius’ top speed), and then you walk down the street, and see three different Prius parked along the route you walked.  Then you are at a party, and someone mentions that they are thinking of buying a hybrid.  No matter what you do, or where you go, this new fact keeps popping into your head?

That is sort of what happened to me after I learned about something people are calling Lifestyle Design.  At its core, Lifestyle Design is about making conscious decisions about the way you spend your time money.  This seems pretty simple on the face of it, but it seems to lead to some pretty interesting results.  For example: How much time do you spend at work, thinking about work, getting to work, etc?  “Why, exactly the right amount.  All of my time working is spent doing so gladly, and if I won the lottery today, I would put in the same amount of time in the office the day after as the day before.”  Anyone actually say that?  My guess is no.

CT’s TV CV

I watch a lot of TV.  Probably an unhealthy amount.  I knew I might have a problem when I joined a club in school whose goal was to create a TV show, and after telling the president of the club how much TV I watch he said “Damn, that’s a lot of TV.”

Below is a list of every show I can remember of which I know I have seen every episode.  There may be others, and there are some shows I only think I have seen every episode of (like House or Monk), but I can’t remember for certain.

These are in the order I remembered them.  Actually, they are in the order Ryder, Adrian, and I remembered them.  While I was thinking up this post, I asked them to name shows for me, and I had forgotten about half of the list.  That’s right, I watch so much TV that I couldn’t even remember all of it.

One final note, this also doesn’t include shows that are still airing, unless they are not from the US, because it is tough to keep track of those shows.

Hello World! Watch Me Try to Become an Entrepreneur

First Post on Chuck LLC:

chuckllc:

My name is Chuck, and I don’t like my job.  I have been looking for a new one for 7 months. There are a lot of reasons I don’t like my job.  I don’t much care for the work I am actually doing, and I have a pretty long commute.  But, what drives me up a wall on an almost daily basis is that fact that I just don’t like the way the company I work for is run.
